Founded by Registered Veterinary Technician Nicolle Radebaugh, The Helpful Vet Tech was created to bridge the gap between veterinary care and home life. After nearly a decade of working in clinical practice, Nicolle saw firsthand that many pets thrive in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. She also recognized that families often need extra support carrying out their veterinarian's treatment plan once they leave the hospital.
That's where The Helpful Vet Tech comes in.
Working alongside your primary veterinarian, we provide skilled, compassionate in-home veterinary nursing care tailored to your pet's individual needs. From medication administration and subcutaneous fluids to vitals monitoring, wound care, and post-operative support, every visit is focused on reducing stress while helping pets stay comfortable healthy, giving owners peace of mind.
Our care doesn't stop there.
We also provide non-medical services such as personalized pet sitting, enrichment visits, and routine wellness services because we know that every pet—and every family—has different needs. Whether your pet requires specialized medical attention or simply extra love and companionship while you're away, you can feel confident knowing they're receiving experienced, attentive care from a licensed veterinary professional.
As The Helpful Vet Tech continues to grow, we're excited to expand our services even further. Nicolle is currently pursuing certification in Companion Animal Hospice and Palliative Care, allowing us to better support pets and families through every stage of life with comfort, dignity, and compassion.
